Why Rent a Vertical Mast Lift?

A vertical mast lift's biggest advantages are its compact overall footprint and maneuverability. It's particularly useful for:

  • Tight commercial interiors and narrow corridors
  • Confined warehouse aisles where maneuverability matters
  • Electrical work and lighting in confined spaces
  • HVAC and ceiling work in narrow areas
  • Retail stores during business hours
  • Facilities maintenance in occupied buildings
  • Single-person elevated work where maneuverability matters more than platform size

It's a different tool for a different job โ€” not a universal upgrade over a scissor lift, just a better fit when space is the limiting factor.

Vertical Mast Lift vs. 19-Ft Scissor Lift

Both are electric and indoor-friendly. The right one usually comes down to how tight your access is and how much platform space the job needs.

Genie GR-20 Vertical Mast Lift

Best for:

  • Tight spaces and narrow aisles
  • One-person work
  • Maximum maneuverability indoors
  • Approx. 26-ft working height

19-Ft Scissor Lift

Best for:

  • Larger work platform
  • Carrying tools and materials with you
  • Jobs where extra workspace matters
  • 500-lb platform capacity, 25-ft working height

Not sure which lift you need? Call or text us and tell us what you're trying to reach.

Will the GR-20 Fit Through a Door?

The GR-20's compact footprint and tight turning radius help it maneuver into spaces that are difficult to access, but doorway compatibility still depends on more than the machine's overall footprint. Actual clear doorway width, thresholds or small ramps, turning clearance right past the entrance, and elevator capacity on multi-floor jobs can all affect whether it makes it to the work area.

We haven't published exact GR-20 doorway measurements on this page yet since we want to confirm them before stating them as fact โ€” call or text us with your access details and we'll tell you directly whether it'll fit.
