Scissor Lift Delivery Costs Across Central Florida
The rental rate is only one part of what a scissor lift actually costs. Where your job site is located, and what it takes to get the machine there and back, can materially affect the total price โ and it's a different question than "how much does the rental cost per day." This guide covers the delivery and logistics side specifically.
What Affects Scissor Lift Delivery Cost?
A few practical factors drive delivery cost more than anything else:
- Distance from Service Rents. Jobs closer to our base are generally quicker and less costly to reach than jobs at the outer edge of our service area.
- Delivery route. Traffic patterns and road access along the way can affect how long a delivery actually takes, even over a similar distance.
- Pickup requirements. Whether the machine needs to be picked up on a fixed schedule or can be flexible affects how we route deliveries that day.
- Machine quantity. Delivering multiple lifts to the same site is more efficient than separate single-machine trips.
- Scheduling. A delivery that fits naturally into our existing route for the day is typically easier to accommodate than an isolated one-off trip far from other jobs.
- Jobsite access. Gate codes, narrow driveways, or restricted delivery windows can add time to a drop-off even when the distance itself is short.
- Same-day or urgent delivery. When it's available, urgent delivery depends on where the closest available machine already is and how the rest of the day's schedule looks.
- Whether equipment is already positioned nearby. If a machine is already out on a job close to you, getting a second one to your site can sometimes be simpler than starting from our base.
Standard delivery is $120 for most job sites within our core service area. The factors above can still affect scheduling and same-day availability, and unusually large or multi-machine deliveries are quoted based on the actual job. Call or text for a straight answer.
Central Florida Service Area
We regularly deliver throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, and Polk counties. If you're unsure whether we cover your location, the fastest way to find out is to call or text (407) 463-5200 with your job site address.
Why Delivery Cost Can Vary by Location
Two jobs the same distance apart on a map don't always cost the same to reach. Travel time on surface roads versus highways, how much truck and trailer time a route actually takes, and whether a delivery can be grouped efficiently with others scheduled that day all affect the real cost of getting equipment to your site โ not just the straight-line distance.
One Machine vs. Multiple Machines
Multi-machine jobs โ apartment projects, warehouse work, larger commercial renovations โ change the delivery logistics compared to a single lift. We look at the actual project when quoting multi-machine delivery rather than applying a flat per-machine assumption, since the right approach depends on the site and the schedule.
Daily Rate vs. Delivery Cost
It's worth keeping these two numbers separate when you're budgeting a job: the equipment rental rate (what it costs to have the lift for a day or week) and the delivery and pickup cost (what it takes to get it to your site and back). For a full breakdown of daily and weekly rental pricing, see our Orlando scissor lift rental cost guide.
How to Get an Accurate Delivery Quote
The fastest way to get a real number instead of a rough estimate is to have a few details ready when you call:
- Job site location
- Rental duration
- Number of machines needed
- Preferred delivery date
- Any access restrictions (gate codes, narrow entry points, delivery time windows)
